The Cassel Site at Billingham, Teesside is a high-hazard, top-tier COMAH site and has a flowsheet of 214KTonnes of Methyl Methacrylate per annum. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer working within the Projects Group at Cassel Site. The role is to act as the Project Asset Interface Engineer providing Front End Project Definition and Commissioning. The successful candidate would also take on the responsibilities of Deputy Site Responsible Electrical Engineer supporting our 24 / 7 manufacturing assets.

The primary role is to support the Asset Engineering team in providing and prioritising the Electrical & Instrument front end definition for the site’s Capital Project Portfolio, through to leading the Commissioning on behalf of the Manufacturing and Asset teams. Therefore it is key that the successful candidate will have recent operational and maintenance experience in order to be able to optimise the full Asset Life Cycle especially in the project definition stage. The role will also provide strategic direction and functional leadership for the development of all electrical systems, as well as developing standards for the management of electrical systems across site.

As Deputy Responsible Electrical Engineer for the site the successful candidate will provide technical leadership to drive and embed engineering standards, set strategies and develop maintenance policies for the Cassel Site, using up to date Asset Management techniques. With the potential to operate at Site Responsible Electrical Engineer level, you will actively provide coaching and mentoring to support the development of less experienced Electrical/Instrument engineers across site. The role will also require being a peer reviewer (design verification engineer) in Electrical Systems for Lucite International more broadly.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience, gained within a similar production or manufacturing background. With a passion for SHE and Manufacturing Excellence, you will have the personal sills and motivation to achieve continuous improvement in terms of reliability and cost efficiency.

About you

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of industry standards and regulations (Electricity at Work Regulations, ATEX, DSEAR), 5-15 years’ experience in petrochemical industry (or equivalent), ideally Fully Authorised for HV, and experience of COMAH, MAH, Area Classification and Safe Electrical Working. Member of IET and desirable to be chartered. Since there is an overlap with Instrument & Control work, knowledge of Instrument Engineering and Safety Instrumented Systems would be an advantage. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential in order to be able to influence people at all levels to ensure that work is completed safely, to high standards, on time and to budget.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Darwen for a Financial Accountant to join our team. The role will deliver on internal and external reporting requirements for the EMEA region, and support the global accounting function reporting in to Tokyo.

This opportunity is ideal for a newly or recently qualified accountant seeking a first move into industry – ACA or ACCA qualification preferred.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the role will involve internal and external reporting; maintenance of the accounting ledgers; operating and improving controls; indirect and corporate taxation management; liaison with internal and external auditors; Treasury management; and customer credit management.

About you

The EMEA business operates a fully integrated SAP system therefore an appreciation of SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable (not essential). Technical knowledge of IFRS and core taxation knowledge or experience would be ideal, and you will need to be comfortable working to very tight reporting deadlines with a high level of thoroughness and attention to detail.

We are currently seeking a CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant to join our team for a period of up to 6 months. We can offer you flexible working hours for this position; full time or part time.

The role will be responsible for supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts, reporting and interpretation of results, and administration and control of the SAP accounting systems.

About you

In addition to being a Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant, previous SAP experience is essential as this is our primary system. You’ll also need good Microsoft Excel skills. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential, as this will help you to understand our business quickly – but we are open to other relevant industry experience.

Principlal Accountabilities

About the role

The overall objective is to provide production assistance and production accounting support to the Acrylic Sheeting Department at Fite Road. while maintaining manufacturing excellence and zero SHE incidents.

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Provides support to the Production Department with daily production reporting.
  • Reviews, maintains, and monitors daily production schedules and reports discrepancies/shortages ensuring the accuracy of production scheduling.
  • Prepares and issues daily schedules, paperwork and pallet labels to the production area for ensuring the correct product production needed for stock and customer orders.
  • Maintains yield accuracy for both the Production and Accounting Departments with daily and monthly production reporting and generates management reports that are used to monitor manufacturing goals and efficiencies.
  • Organizes and maintains the Acrylic Sheeting daily production records, lab reports and shipment documentation to the CDC warehouse in accordance with area needs, records retention and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Plant Manager, Production/Training Supervisor, Area Engineer/Quality Manager, Color Specialist, Production Scheduler and First Line Supervisors resulting in improved time management of specialized skills/tasks for each.
  • Provides back-up support for the Production Scheduler with production scheduling and raw material procurement.
  • Performs work order reconciliation of products daily and monthly to ensure an accurate cost of manufacturing as well as areas of improvement for yields in product families.

Special Features

The Acrylic Sheeting Production Coordinator is relied upon to gather, organize, analyze and distribute vital information in a timely basis. The Production Coordinator handles multiple tasks and demonstrates strong self-management. The Production Coordinator works closely with the Quality Manager, Production Scheduler, and the CDC personnel to ensure that all products are released and classified to the appropriate category and in a timely manner. The Production Coordinator works closely with the Plant Accountant and the IT department with identifying and correcting issues around data accuracy; and, to improve the data accuracy and efficiency and data entry tasks.

About You

  • High School Diploma required, Associate Degree or some college courses desired.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, CSVA, and Reflections/ASK software packages with a minimum of three years office experience.

  • Knowledge of PLC’s, distributive control (DCS) systems, electronic/pneumatic transmitters (flow, temperature, etc.), temperature/pressure switches, valve actuators/controllers/positioners, and analyzers
  • Must have a Shelby County Journeyman’s electrical license and ISA Certification in instrumentation. If employee is hired with 1 (one) of the 2 (two) required license/certification they must then obtain the second license/certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Employee will begin as a “B” Mechanic until they acquire skills of an “A” Mechanic within a reasonable amount of time (6-12months).
  • Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, 24-7 operation

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team in Beaumont and help continue our sites development and growth. You will be responsible for ensuring we meet or exceed Lucite and Industry engineering standards for the technical aspects of mechanical maintenance work. This is a key role for us and you will work closely with colleagues across our business to identify, engineer and implement mechanical solutions or improvements to equipment.

Working directly to the Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will have proven experience gained within the Chemicals industry and will be confident in working with operations and maintenance colleagues to improve the reliability of both rotating and stationary equipment. You will be a change agent and comfortable with taking ownership and accountability for on-going and project work as the mechanical lead.

You will have a strong background of mechanical systems, and an ABS in Mechanical Engineering is required. As such there will be significant opportunities to develop your career within our business, knowledge of Process Equipment, including piping, valves, pumps, tanks and pressure vessels is essential as well as an understanding of process safety management. 10+ years of experience in static equipment reliability is required, general understanding of metallurgy, and codal compliance (API 510 and API 570) is desired.

The Opportunity

The primary function of this position is the efficient production of electrolyte solution for lithium ion batteries. In addition, the individual will be responsible for clean room routines, operating equipment, recording and reviewing documentation, and supporting environmental monitoring routines.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Operate production equipment in the manufacturing of chemical products
  • Receive and review order instructions (Batch Records)
  • Set-up, operating and monitoring of chemical transfer equipment.
  • Initiate and control manufacturing of chemicals in vessels, including changing of raw materials, monitoring batches, keeping records and operating process equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Available for scheduled overtime and call-in overtime
  • Adheres to standard operating procedures
  • Completes production records and maintains a clean environment to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Operate, Clean and set-up processing equipment
  • Notify supervision, maintenance, or other personnel regarding equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot process issues as needed
  • Performs all job functions and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
  • All other duties assigned by management

Knowledge/ Experience/Skills

  • Must possess high school education or GED, two-year degree or technical school desired
  • Must possess applicable Silver level WorkKeys scores-Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Reading for Information
  • 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment chemical experience is a plus
  • Ability to obtain lift truck certification previous experience required
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent problem solving skills to resolve quality or production problems that arise
  • Technical ability to be able to anticipate problems and resolve before they occur; confidence in job knowledge to make critical operating decisions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and a drug test with negative results, and be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements

  • Moderate lifting, drum handling, use of stairs, ladders, tools, walking, bending, stooping, some outdoor work is required, Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and adhere to plant PPE requirements.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
