Description

To manage the safe, efficient and robust operation of the ACH and MMA plants on site. To ensure compliance to the best operational practices, processes and procedures and to underpin and improve operational and Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) performance.

  • Day-to-day organization and management of the shift teams
  • Work closely with the site management team to ensure that operational performance is optimized

Description

Lucite International has developed a world first new proprietary process route, called Alpha Technology, for the production of Methyl Methacrylate (MMA). The world first Alpha MMA plant on Jurong Island is now seeking to recruit an Operations Field Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

To support the Operations Supervisor in operating the chemical processing plant to ensure quality product and to meet business targets. This includes:

  • Operating and monitoring the equipments to ensure that the process is operating within defined conditions and product specifications
  • Working with the Operations DCS Technician to deal efficiently and effectively with any deviation in process parameters to ensure ‘zero’ safety, health and environmental incidents
  • Patrolling and inspection of field equipment and data logging

General Purpose

The candidate will support, maintain, and drive improvement in all aspects of DCS/PLC and Process Controls work management systems and provide technical assistance with Control Strategies, Electrical Distribution Safety and Maintenance, Control Valve Sizing and Flow Meter Calculations.

Principal Responsibilities

PSM Manager, Beaumont, TX

General Purpose

The objective of the PSM & AIP Programs Manager position is to manage all of the regulatory functions pertaining to Process Safety Management (PSM) in order to ensure compliance with all laws, policies, standards, procedures and mandates and assure that all elements of the Lucite Corporate Asset Integrity Procedures (AIP) are reviewed and executed.   • Provide Technical support and assistance to all units on issues such as Control Strategies, Electrical Distribution Safety and Maintenance, Control Valve Sizing, and Flow Meter Calculations.
  • Champion continuous improvement for the electrical and instrument facilities in the areas by initiating improvement programs, submitting capital projects for approval and preparing cost work orders.
  • Serve as Technical Resource for electrical and instrumentation capital projects.
  • Provide programming support for PLC’s and Emerson DeltaV DCS’s and assist mechanics in troubleshooting equipment controlled by PLC’s and DCS.
  • Audit how areas perform interlock checks and critical control loop checks and provide recommendations for improvements when appropriate.
  • Ensure areas are following appropriate preventive maintenance procedures/schedules for electrical distribution equipment, assist where needed.
  • Participate on or lead formal Process Hazards Reviews.

Knowledge/ Experience/Skills/Competencies Needed

B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment

Knowledge of National Electrical Code

Knowledge of Code on Safety Instrumented Systems

Knowledge of modern Industrial Data Network Design including Ethernet communications, Database Servers, and Web Servers.
