Chemical Industries Association Recognition for Sustainable Development

Lucite International has been recognised with a Certificate of Excellence for sustainability following its entry for the Chemical Industry Product Stewardship Award 2007. The Company’s entry was based on its work on the new REACH legislation and included a booklet and timeline it produced to help explain the issues facing the industry. Chemical Industries Association Chief Executive, Steve Elliott commented in his letter of congratulation to the Company: “Judges are asked to specifically note companies that had gone that extra mile and demonstrated excellence not only in the award category itself but in other areas linked to the company’s wider industry’s contribution to sustainable development.”
