Japanese customer launches new design-led products for the kitchen18 Oct 2007 Southampton, UK One of Lucite International’s long-standing, innovative customers in Japan, Cleanup Corporation, has launched a revolutionary new product that combines sink and surface into one for a seamless look in the kitchen. The new product uses acrylic-based composite materials – Asterite for the sink and Avron for the work surface. This unique combination enables more design options between the sink and work area, for example, the tap may be placed on the vertical surface as an unobtrusive filling device, leaving the top service free for other tasks. There’s also an option to position the sink centrally within the work surface, allowing people to work either side.
This new sink and surface solution is the latest in a long line of innovative product, on which the two companies have worked together for almost 20 years. Cleanup also manufactures acrylic-based bathtubs, flooring, vanity basins and sells its products in Japan as well as having overseas sales offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
