ALPHA Progress in Singapore4 Apr 2007 Southampton, UK Construction of Lucite International’s (LI) first Alpha technology plant in Singapore is progressing well with 250,000 construction man-hours completed without incident. This milestone was celebrated by Lucite International, Foster Wheeler and their sub-contractors at an on-site ceremony on March 5 during which the individuals and sub-contracting firms who had demonstrated the best performance in the leadership and delivery of the strong SHE culture on the site were presented with individual awards.
Most of the plant foundations have now been completed and steelwork construction is well underway. The construction of storage tanks and plant buildings has also commenced. The next key milestone is the arrival of the columns and other main vessels in Singapore in early May ready for lifting into position on site in June and July.
