• The Polymer process

  Our injection moulding and extrusion polymers are made via the very flexible suspension polymerization process, which means we can produce a wide variety of PMMA based products across a diverse range of end uses. Consistent quality ensures that our products meet the most demanding customer and application requirements.

• The Resins process

  Our resins products are produced to the highest quality standards, using suspension polymerization technology to produce precise spherical beads of functionalized methacrylate polymers ranging in size from 30 to 600 microns. They are ideally suited for dissolving in solvents to make lacquers, inks, adhesives and specialty coatings. When mixed with methacrylate monomers, they form pastes and doughs that are used in dentistry and in the field of medicine as bone cements. They are also known and respected globally in the casting, embedment and electronics sectors.

  
• The Cell Cast Sheet process

  Lucite International operates the largest cell cast acrylic sheet production facilities in Europe with additional capacity in Asia Pacific. Our cell cast acrylic process polymerizes MMA in individual plates allowing ultimate flexibility in terms of thickness, size, colour, and other effects. More than 75 years of process development ensure that our quality, consistency and productivity are second to none, and underpin our superior service offer. Our product range meets all relevant industry standards today and is constantly evolving with new products designed to meet ever-changing market needs.

  
• The Continuous Cast Sheet process

  We manufacture continuous cast acrylic sheet by polymerizing MMA between two highly polished, stainless steel belts in an automated process providing excellent consistency in product quality. The continuous process means we can produce almost any length of product for varied applications coupled with our range of colors and effects tailored to customer needs.

  
• The Composites process

  Acrylic Composites are made through the combination of acrylic resins with a range of filling materials and performance additives. Tailored formulations support a range of products for either hot or cold cure (polymerisation) by customers in applications such as solid bathtubs, vanity basins, kitchen sinks, work surfaces and embedment. New materials continue to be introduced to the product range, underpinned with expert technical support.
